Write for us
Lasting Stage Stories welcomes original pitches about how people shape, remember and share personal stories. We value a clear idea, a respectful approach and a useful point for readers, without requiring anyone to disclose private experiences.
What to propose
We consider essays, explainers, comparisons, histories and occasion-specific pieces related to storytelling, memory, family history, traditions or keepsakes. A strong pitch focuses on one distinct question and explains what readers will understand or be able to try after reading.
A good pitch
Send a working title, a short summary, the proposed category and a few lines about your approach. Identify the basis for factual or historical claims, flag any uncertainty and explain how you will handle sensitive material. Keep the proposed scope manageable and avoid implying that one family's experience represents everyone.
Sending a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please do not send private records or another person's personal account without their permission. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may ask for changes to scope or framing.
Every story changes a little as it travels
Listening carefully helps us notice what matters to the person telling it. We make room for uncertainty, different memories and the meaning a story holds now.
